Absolutely beautiful room. (The gas fireplace was a nice surprise.) Very quiet and clean. The restaurant menu was exceptional. My partner had the duck which he loved and I had the steak frites--most amazing steak frites I've ever had! (Superlative to those I've had elsewhere - including Paris!)

Wonderful staff. Very friendly and helpful. Box breakfast was very good. Loved the historic feel of the hotel. Spent the day in Boston. We road the ferry very enjoyable.

Charming & Historic!

The breakfast was a bit of a disappointment as it was boxed, to be picked up in the lobby. However the Inn and the surrounding areas are well maintained and preserve the character of this historic Inn. Great in-house restaurant and friendly staff.

Have not had breakfast yet but it’s a box with yogurt fruit muffin. Our room is about 300 years old and we love it. Original floors etc. my wife loves history and old well taken care of buildings. The Salty Days Restaurant next door is fantastic. Scallop dinner and Cod Sandwich were excellent. Checked in with Janie and it was a real pleasure. We are in mid 70’s so she took our luggage up to our room. Just a really nice young person that enhances your experience here. If we come back this way will stay again.

Loved my stay at Red Lion Inn!

I really liked Red Lion, i liked the old inn style and the room was clean, bed was comfortable, the shower was amazing, and the people were very friendly and accomodating. I liked the box breakfast (we had yogurt, OJ, and a muffin with coffee in the room) but if you are looking for a full breakfast you will have to go somewhere else to eat. I would totally recommend this Inn.

We couldn’t stay. We travelled three quarters of the way and received a call saying we couldn’t stay because of a maintenance problem with our room. They offered another hotel which was way out of the way. They tried to help but it was awful. I’m

I can’t say enough nice things about the property and the staff. From the moment we arrived everything was top-notch. Michelle was extra helpful and very pleasant to deal with. The inn keeper Andrew was ultra professional, and was helper even prior to our stay with assisting with our reservation. I would recommend this property to anyone traveling in the Boston/ Cohasset area. 5 stars isn’t a high enough rating.

Oversll, very good. Beautiful property and grounds. Friendly staff. Shower water pressure excellent. Big rooms. Only drawbacks... Basic Cable - couldn't watch Red Sox or Celtics at a place just south of Boston. Mattress- back was sore when I woke up.

The Red Lion Inn is a wonderful place!!! Besides the historic charm and tavern, the inn is warm and inviting. The staff is very pleasant and goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed. This Inn was the highlight of our trip.
