Unique friendly environment. This is not a hotel. More like Italian guest house. I like very much this type of accommodation, friendly yet economical. I saved a lot of money staying there.

For $160 a night the place is in need of a complete restoration. The light switches weren’t even inside the room. The bathroom was supposed to accommodate 8 people in the “basement” I was put in. If you are supplying a place such as this it should run $50 a night. Perhaps they increased the rate because the final Stanley Cup was being held. The lady went crazy when I used a toilet in the laundry room. If you don’t want someone to use a toilet, lock the door. The one thing the host did was prepared an excellent breakfast. Finally, if you’re going to be in business in the USA you should know the language.

I was pleased the moment I walked in the door. The hostess is very charming. The house has a welcoming, homey feel, and the rooms are neat and clean. Usually, I do not enjoy sharing a bathroom, especially with strangers, but even though I knew other guests were visiting, I did not have an issue when I needed to use the bathroom. No loud noises or doors were slamming, which I have gotten accustomed to in large hotels, and from my room, I could hear the rain falling outside, which I found very soothing. I was not happy that there was no mirror in my room for me to do my makeup. Also, I like the place to be cooler than what it was when I sleep, and there is no option to adjust the temperature in the rooms, as the system is centralized. A fan would have been a welcomed solution. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience, and I recommend staying at Anastasia House to anyone.
