"Just spent two wonderful days in Ambleside staying with Steve and Tina at Wanslea. The Africa room was our ‘ home’ and found it spacious and comfortable. Would highly recommend a stay here. An easy walk to the town and the lake head of Windermere. Pam and Andy"

"We were welcomed on arrival by the ever-helpful Alison. Our room was very clean and comfortable and Alison even helped us with some light luggage to our room which was on the top floor. There were facilities to make tea and coffee in the room and a extremely comfortable Super King-sized bed. The ensuite bathroom was clean with plenty of towels supplied. Breakfast was very well cooked with a nice variety of choice available. The location of Lyndale Guest House is really convenient to visit Ambleside and the surrounding areas. We were given a parking pass for the duration of our stay, at no extra cost, with the car park about 80 yards. Actually, we didn't need the car to visit Ambleside town centre as it was only a 10 minute stroll into the centre of town. Buses regularly pass the guest house so you can even hop on one of these if you don't fancy walking or driving. In short, Lyndale Guest House is very clean and comfortable with a great location, delicious breakfasts and a great host in Alison."

"Lovely bed and breakfast. Central for all amenities. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast had a great selection, from cereals to full English and was delicious. Room was spacious and outdoor seating area was more than adequate with amazing views. A little sun trap. Would highly recommend if you were visiting Ambleside."

"Great place to stay for Ambleside and the Lakes. Just five minute walk into town. Small room but you expect that in the Lakes. There is parking (it is very tight!). We didn’t see any staff but they sent us comprehensive self check in info. Everything you need for a couple of nights in Ambleside. Would definitely stay here again."
