「Lovely old hotel in a v quiet location- needs money spending in it but a good place to stay for a night」

「The exterior of the hotel is lovely but once inside it’s very tired. The carpets are worn and stained. No air con or phone in the room. The tea/coffee was not refilled during the service. There is no lift in the section of hotel I was staying. The windows didn’t open much and the was no fan available. It was convenient for where I wanted to be. The staff I dealt with are very pleasant and there’s a large car park.」

「Moved from the bull to the shepherds rest as an upgrade prior to arrival. Out of 4 rooms (party of 4), rooms 10 and room 4 no heating. The bull may have better but I’d avoid the shepherds rest. Also none of the TVs worked in any of the 4 rooms and Wi-Fi password not shared. A shame as the rooms were fine even if the showers are a little small. Place was clean and obviously has been invested in. 」

「This an impotant historic property with fabulous grounds but has been upgraded to a clinical level. Very clean but no soul. Needs aome fwminine touches. Shelving, pictures, hooks etc. No retaurant facilities or breakfast. Basic but adequate」

「We stayed on one of the warmest nights this year. A fan had been put in our room earlier on to ensure it was lovely and cool. The room was a good size. It was clean and quiet. Very comfortable bed. Parking is a plus. Good food in the pub too.」

「Great location a very comfy beds with small but well equipped kitchen. Very steep stairs. Could do with more toilet rolls.」

「Sehr schönes Hotel. Die Zimmer sind sauber und das Essen ist gut. Das Personal ist freundlich. Die Zeit zum einchecken ist mit 14 Uhr angegeben. Musste diesmal fast noch eine Stunde warten bis aufgemacht wurde. War nicht mein erster Aufenthalt dort und werde auch weiterhin dort übernachten.」
