Beautiful building right in the centre of town offering limited free parking. The car park is small and fills up quickly. Interior is stunning, rooms are huge and incredibly well maintained. It was peacefully quiet and I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Great shower and modern bathroom. A really lovely hotel offering excellent value for money. I’ll 100% stay here next time I’m in the area!

Stayed for one night. The room was clean and tidy but the placement was poor. The room was an internal room with no daylight. Scaffold outside the window with pigeons living on it. Over Saturday was comfortable but I'd be wary booking again.

This is a good city centre hotel not flashy, although the public areas are grand and will maintained. Rooms are clean and the facilities in the room are excellent. Breakfast is pricey.

My ratings here vary wildly depending on the type of room you get given. Today I had one of the newer rooms on the second floor and it was good.

Choose this hotel because it has carpark and location. When we went into our room, it has strange smell just like cigarette smoke and the toilet is more smelly. Furnitures were old but the room is quite spacious. The lobby is old style classic but the furnitures was quite new. Everything is the same breakfast with simple food and drinks.

One night business stay. Comfortable room albeit a little dated and shabby. The hotel retains many of its original architectural features whish is great to see. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was ok but would have been nice to have fresh pastries rather than defrosted ones.

The biggest criticism and the reason only four stars for service was that at check in there was only member of staff on duty and many guests, eventually another member of staff came to help. The only other issue was that we left the window open for a fresh breeze in the room, however, there was some outside noise to tolerate then. The breakfast was excellent and the en-suite bathroom seemed to have been recently renovated, the shower was outstanding - plenty of hot water and great pressure. We would stay again.
