Unexpected treat!

Lovely family cabins, stunning views, and great food. It was a bonus being a wild cat sanctuary. Lovely play spaces for the kids too!

I never stayed in a lodge lie this, all, really all the staff were so friendly and helpful smiling all the time. I was also impressed of their way of thining toward animals, rescuing them from Europe and Australia.

Amazing location and purpose of the facility

Amazing experience in a "big cat"'sanctuary. The purpose of the facility (to rehabilitate big cats in a natural environment) and the staff are exceptional. Not a luxurious resort but beautiful and best value for cost. Lionsrock is own by the NGO Four Paws which focuses on rehabilitating animals saved from zoos. A must "do" if in South Africa.

Schönes sicheres Zuhause für missbrauchte Tiere!!!

Die lodge hat eine super Lage und die Ausfahrt zu den "Katzen" war perfekt! Hier können sie in Ruhe leben ohne missbraucht zu werden!! Es war alles in allem ein sehr schöner u interessanter Aufenthalt! Wir sahen sogar Löwen aus einem Safaripark unserer Heimat die nach einem Überfall auf den Park nicht mehr erhalten werden konnten u gerettet wurden! Leider sind die Tiere aufgrund mangelnder Bewegung alle relativ dick:-(

Ein besonderes Erlebnis!

Ziemlich abseits gelegen mit Anreise über ca. 10 km unbefestigter Zufahrt. Erst einmal angekommen aber "einfach toll" - insbesondere die Geräuschkulisse mit Löwengebrüll im Hintergrund. Die sehr großflächige Anlage (Führungen per Jeep werden mehrmals täglich angeboten) gehört der Tierschutzorganisation "vier Pfoten" - jeder Aufenthalt dort trägt somit zum Erhalt der Anlage bei. Toller Service und sowohl ausgezeichnetes Frühstück, als auch tolles Abendessen. Ideal zum "entspannten Abtauchen" für einige Tage.

Very underrated, amazing place!

We arrived thinking it was a private cat rescue place, how wrong could we have been! Lovely property, good food, great location and staff, what a great job they do there. If you're in any way an animal lover, this place is a must. Absolutely exceeded our expectations, stop being so humble guys you are underselling yourselves. Loved or stay there :)

Magnifique !!!

Dernier logement apres trois semaines de vacances en Afrique du Sud. Nous avons été comquis par le logement, le cadre, la politique de l'hotel et la gentillesse du personnel. Prendre son petit dejeuné sur une magnifique vue avec comme fond sonore le rugissement des lions. Je recommande à 400% ce lieu surtout si vous aimer les animaux, l'espace et le calme!!

What wonderful work is being done to ensure the humane care of these abused predators. The staff were really excellent considering the fact that their resources are limited. We are sold on the place and intend to visit again soon.

Perfect stay at a great place.

We were very pleasantly surprised with our stay. More or less accidently ended up there. It's a bit of a ride of the main road but once there very worth it. We were over exited about what they were doing at the 'farm'. The rescue of big cats that are overcomplete elswhere in the world (mainly Eastern Europe) touched our hearts. Giving them a second chance is wonderful. Further more they have great food and a very nice staf. Highly recommended!!!

Een unieke ervaring. Een lodge tussen de dieren.

Op onze tweede dag in afrika kwamen we, toevallig?, op deze locatie terecht. De slaapgelegenheid is prima geregeld. De locatie tussen de dieren is uniek. Bij alles staan de dieren centraal. Mensen met passie voor de dieren en hart voor de gasten. Een zeer persoonlijke benadering en een onvergetelijke herinnering.

The place is wow, no complains. My family and I had a fabolous time. The only downfall is that the room was flooded but we were transfered to a more nicer room, quickly and with no hassles
