"The property is well maintained, comfortable and clean. The rooms are serviced daily and the host is quick to respond to any of your needs. There is no swimming pool or outdoor space on the property, however the location is within close proximity to hiking, cycling trails and an abundance of activities. +/-2km easy walk to the clarens waterfall.The main town square is within walking distance. We throughly enjoyed our stay and will be back."

"It was wonderful and we had a fantastic stay. The property was beautiful spotless and I would recommend a stay to anyone wanting beautiful accommodation and scenery to go with it. The staff were fantastic. "

"Our door didn't lock for the inside so we slept with an open door all night. There is no security anyone can just drive in because it seem deserted. It took us 35 min to just find a worker to help us. There are many many flies in the cabins. There is a TV not connected to anything. There is no cell reception, or WiFi so if something goes wrong well your on your own. The place is extremely basic and you are basically paying for the view which is amazing. "Brenda and George were great hosts, helpful, quick to respond and assist with minor issues like an adaptor. Room, with separate shower bathroom and kitchenette was comfortable, clean, well equiped and had nice decor. Excellent value for money. Had a great 2-night stay! "

"We absolutely loved our stay at The Crown Guest house! Beautiful artwork everywhere, comfy and quiet rooms and a wonderful breakfast. The guest house is also a 3 minute drive from a mall with restaurants and shops, so very conveniently located. Highly recommended for your trip to the Eastern Free State! "We had a 1 night stay over at the Golden Gate hotel. We initially thought we booked at the hotel but was surprised that we had booked a chalet. The chalet was perfect with its own braai (BBQ) outside and all the amenities required for a proper self catering experience. Would definitely stay there again as it about a 15 minute scenic drive to Clarens."
