It’s an obvious location and home that would be perfect for anyone.. but I think windows should be cleaned along with surfaces in both houses. The room where we slept was very clean. Other then that observation, the place was a perfect get away weekend.

A wonderful 3 days in So. Haven

Very comfortable bed and the bathrooms were extremely clean with ample hot water. Big screen TV in the room with excellent wifi service.

Great Location, Charming decor, wonderful service

What a charming and beautiful place!! It's literally across the street from the public beach and a short walk from the down town. The only problem was that the BnB was so nice I felt guilty leaving. We just wanted to lay in the sunroom reading and napping all day. The service was great! The owner was prompt to answer the phone and provided breakfast daily despite her son being in the ICU fighting for his life. That goes above and beyond for service to me and I would 10/10 stay again.

It's right across the street from the Lake. Excellent location and nearby restaurants are abound. Beautiful location to visit in the fall when the trees are changing colors!

We had a very nice stay at Yelton. The room was very clean and the breakfast and amenities were amazing. Victoria greeted us and was an outstanding host. Yelton is within walking distance of everything and is a very relaxing place if you want to stay in.

Cozy B&B with fantastic location

Great stay. B&B is literally located across the street from Lake Michigan. Our stay was in October, so not beach weather, but that in no way diminished our enjoyment of the cozy room and great location. Easy to walk to shopping and restaurants in downtown South Haven (but if it's cold and rainy, maybe just drive 😉).

A meticulously put-together and beautiful place. It was the best experience I had in a bed and breakfast so far. The rooms are beautiful, common areas as well, and breakfast is delicious. Even the complimentary chocolate gives an extra touch that makes your stay an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend this place. Would stay here again.

Super clean.

Great location. Steps from the lake. Place is super clean. Breakfasts were delicious as were afternoon treats. Victoria was very accommodating. We were there in the off season so it was very quiet and peaceful. About 10 minutes from town.

Great place, great location, very friendly staff. The only down side is that there is no meat with any of the breakfast options. A little bacon or sausage to go with our eggs would be nice for those of us on a low carb diet. P.S., I threw my low carb diet out the window for a couple of days and enjoyed the delicious french toast.

We happened to be the only guests staying there mid week. The property was safe, quiet, and extremely clean. The breakfast was prepared every morning were gourmet. The only negative was the shower was a little small and the temperature was difficult to regulate. Loved that it was right across the street from the lake.

Close to the beach and downtown. Will stay here again. Only minor thing was no access to ice nor a freezer but it is a B&B. Breakfast was convenient and good. Everyone we interacted with were great. Convenience store is near property. We heard another couples concern that their room was dark and chilly in the main house. We chose the Biltmore room in the guest house and it was great.

Probably ok to stay here if needed, but would not recommend; has the feel of a large Air BnB rather than the personal touch of a good bed and breakfast/inn. Room was clean, mattress was firm. Property fairly well maintained, but somewhat overgrown. Easy parking. Comfortable sitting area in/near room. Most disappointing was staff interaction who consistently made us feel that we were an imposition. For example, guests are required to call to check in; this is done over the phone with no in-person presence. Likewise after sitting down for breakfast, we were “reminded” that we had to walk to the kitchen to place our order.

The property is beautiful and well maintained, and the location is convenient and quiet. However, I was on edge from the moment of arrival due to hostility regarding smoking on the property. Threats of fines and eviction if one is caught smoking anywhere on the property were over the top, as was the policy about food in the room. The B&B management is clearly more interested in guests following rules than in creating a warm and welcoming environment and appear to have a lot to learn about the "hospitality" industry. We will not return.

The location, location, location was perfect for walking to the beach(es) and accessing South Haven's many cute shops and restaurants. The room was well appointed with quality towels and linens; the bathroom was spacious and offered a tub/shower. Parking was convenient and the place was spotless. Breakfast choices were tasty and all vegetarian friendly (no meat offered). There was free bottled water, coffee, tea available all day. The staff was very thorough in their instructions and clear about the expectations / consequences of specific instances (clearly they had individuals who took advantage to create visitor restrictions). Everyone was courteous but not super friendly. We would recommend adding a shield to the porch light to reduce the amount of light coming into the Samson room or adding room darkening shades.
