「Room was clean and staff worked to keep it so. Staff were good at providing a decent service and giving advice. No problem with parking although I do not think it was full up whilst we stayed there. Habe stayed at the inn 3 times and have always been satisfied with way were treated. For the future feel that the inn could benefit by introducing air conditioning.」

「I had a room booked for me and I am disabled ,so a while later rang to make sure it was accessible and had to pay extra(disability discrimination?) on arrival was assured it was a “deluxe room” .The bathroom was run down with copious mould ,dust from quite a while built up on skirting boards ,and behind bed heads. Dirty crumpled paper under mattress topper?,milk and drink accessories not topped up daily . Picnic tables 6 ft from room windows so very noisy at night. Dead plants and plastic flower...

「The room was large, bright and clean with the added bonus of a fan. Staff were polite and helpful. Evening meal was superb. If we are in Harpenden again we will definitely stay here again.」

「Really convenient for what I needed courtyard style room straight onto the car park. Dog friendly with some great walks around the area. Super easy check-in key was in the door. Appreciated the fruit teas and coffees in the morning. We’ll stay again if I need to be in that area.」

「I would advise other travellers to be cautious, especially if arriving late or making a last-minute booking. I should also mention that I was told I would not be offered breakfast because I had booked last minute or arrived late. My experience with the reception staff made me feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. Regardless of the price paid for a room, every guest should be treated with basic courtesy and respect. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I would not stay here again.」

「The parking is at the road edge ' not secure ' but ok. The railway line is close with regular trains, my room was very clean and nice linen, staff were friendly and knowledgeable, cooked full English was ok but it seemed they were trying too hard.」

「We had a lovely weekend at The Red Lion. The staff were incredibly helpful both ahead of and during our stay, and the pub food and breakfasts were very tasty. Our room felt a little dated and in need of maintenance in places, especially in the bathroom, but it served its purpose for our stay and we would be happy to go again.」

「I stayed here 2 nights as I was booking night by night as my husband was in hospital nearby, The room had everything I needed, far more than I expected in a small country inn. Food was delicious and varied. Service was excellent and friendly.」
