"The room was very clean & comfortable, including the bed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, in particular Bobo, who went out of his way to give us sliced limes to go in our gin and was such a lovely cheerful guy with a great sense of humour."

"Great location, 15 mins walk to the centre. And great access to places to visit nearby. The team at Oldfield was superb, could not flaw them at all. Everyone so helpful and cheerful and always do their utmost to ensure our comfort and convenience. A totally professional team. "

"Hotel used to be lovely. Now very tired. room had a layer of dust under furniture that looked like it hadn't been cleaned properly for years. Wifi didn't reach the room reliably and TV wasn't connected to aerial. The lounges are worn and they don't reserve some space for residents so you may not be able to use public areas unless you book them. Oh, and don't be a vegetarian."

"Towels were huge and fluffy, soaps were great-smelling. The room was quiet and roomy with a great shower. There were some dings on some walls that could use a spot of paint. The lock on the bathroom door could be updated too. I only notice these things because I’m the wife of a landlord. "
