「The hotel is old but very nicely maintained and uniquely decorated; great food in the bar/restaurant, though a bit pricey for a very small community like this. Staff are helpful as well.」

「Sally and Mike are wonderful, attentive hosts with a wealth of information on the local area. They also offer excellent breakfast options in house.」

「Everything was good and the lovely view over golf course both from our room and the restaurant is always beautiful! Staff all friendly and obliging not a critism just a suggestion it would be good to give the choice of cappuccino, latte and hot chocolate at breakfast even if an extra charge for this was necessary! To top the stay it had snowed overnight and we were greeted with a delightful scene upon opening our room curtains! 2nd time of staying at Dale Hill and will definitely be returning...

「Both the bedroom and ensuite were very clean. People were helpful and friendly. Within walking distance of shops, supermarket and several restaurants. The place was built several hundred years ago so has plenty of beautiful features in the pub.」

「Battle is a very small town; having the helpful hotel staff in the neighborhood is certainly a plus. This building has existed as of the 16th century, and it's been properly maintained and apparently renovated in the toilet/bathroom.」

「Good onsite parking within a very short walk to Battle high street and abbey but unfortunately the abbey park grounds were closed but none the less had a lovely pre Christmas one night stay at the Chequers, the food was of good quality both evening and breakfast, staff friendly and helpful, the room spacious and mattress very comfortable but could all do with refreshing but bear in mind it is a very old Inn circa 1478 but what is really needed are blackout blinds on the windows as our room was...

「The staff were very polite nd friendly. The room was very spacious with a large comfortable bed. There was a kettle with loads of tea, coffee, sugar and milk supplied. There was a shower in the bathroom . With very large towels which smelled lovely . Lots of shampoo, shower gel snd body lotion supplied. I will definitely be going back 」
