Staff at front desk, security, concierge, housekeeping, and Belmont cafe are welcoming and pleasant
Housekeeping and Guest Services were excellent with their response times to needed items or services was quick.
Hotel is steps away from Newport mall and restaurants. Its convenient location to the airport was a plus.
Concierge were very helpful at the end of our stay wheeling my mom to the door of the skyway bridge - outstanding!!
Improvements
Lobby area can get very busy and crowded.
More room is needed to alleviate the high peak times - check-ins & check-outs.
Breakfast buffet (although a poster chart was displayed of best times for buffet) was busy.
Found that the cleanliness of the floor and buffet area could have been better.
Buffet choices were okay. Would have been great to offer: mango, avocado, pomelo, dragonfruit. Was expecting more Filipino selections. Yes, there is an A La Carte available, but it’s either one or the other.
There was an odour by the elevators on our floor and another odour in the hallway and sometimes by the main floor of elevators. Something to be looked at by maintenance.
In my opinion, there were too many staff seen in the lobby area and restaurant area. If there were less staff, there would be more space to accommodate the guests and luggages. More front desk staff is definitely required during peak times - this is more important than having many staff in the lobby.
