「Clean nicely proportioned room, comfy bed, nice cotton bedding, soft towels. Good shower with lovely hot water. We had a delicious evening meal. Breakfast was really good too. Good service. All cooked to order. Our dog was made very welcome. We recommend without hesitation. 」

「Very quiet, cozy & comfortable Inn. Although located in a remote area of Lake District, easy to find & can reach other spots easily. Must try the dinner at the restaurant which is very good with reasonable price. Only the towel rack in my room is not working which is a minor stuff. Furthermore everything in the breakfast seems overcooked.」

「Room was very clean the view from the room was looking over the river, having a balcony was lovely if it was summer time it would have been lovely sitting outside. Room 204 highly recommend. Evening meal of chicken supreme was excellent. 」

「Our room, on the first floor, was excellent with lovely views. The food was of a high quality and the service was very good except on one of our three evenings when we were forgotten about and it took at least three complaints to get our meal started. On this occasion we were in the restaurant for about two hours and it took 45 minutes before we got our starter. This was a shame because otherwise everything was perfect.」
