「The hotel is located inside the University of Maine campus, which is quiet, safe, and has convenient parking. The rooms seem to be converted from student dormitories, so the layout is different from typical hotels. The bathroom in my room was exceptionally large, almost at a luxury mansion level, and the bed was also big. The room was clean with high ceilings, but there was no desk available for use, which was somewhat inconvenient.」

「The people that work there very nice. The breakfast was great. The beds were so bad I will probably not stay there again by the 3rd night I was in so much pain as well as everyone else in the room we tried laying on the extra pillows and needless to say we didn’t get much sleep.」

「My favorite thing about the Lucerne Inn is its unpretentious old world charm. It is very conveniently located outside of Bangor. The staff was super friendly. If the swimming pool were heated I may have taken a dip, but I didn’t mind. Having a cocktail on the deck outside and taking in the view was much better than hanging out in a pool, anyway. The food and drink menu had great selections and very well priced - especially considering g we were there at peak season!」

The way the breakfast options were provided as individual meals that could be warmed up was fantastic! Yummy eggs and sausage meal! The room was so nice - huge and very comfy. Wish we'd had more than one night to stay here. Close to plenty of eateries, UMaine, convenience stores, etc.」

「2 minutes to the airport, very convenient」

「The property is dated, and there are some challenges. I was assigned a second floor room (I wasn't asked for a preference) and there is no elevator. However, a very kind cleaning person saw me struggling and carried my suitcase up for me, which was wonderful. Problems in addition to lack of elevator: 1) The key (the old-fashioned kind) didn't always work. 2) The room smelled musty and I had to launder all of the clothes I had brought when I got home, as they had taken on that musty smell. 3)...
