"Overall, the hotel was ok. When thinking of Hyatt/Hilton, you automatically think great things. In all honesty, this hotel did not reflect the name well. There were a few reasons why I chose this hotel over others that were a little cheaper. 1. I knew that the room would be clean and there wouldn’t be any smoking issues. The room was clean, but I overheard a conversation that a lady had just got her room and it was heavy in cigarette smoke smell. 2. Their listing on Expedia says they have dry cleaning/laundromat services. I talked with the front desk for that option after my first night stay, and the desk manager said they don’t provide that service, and he began to show me local laundromats to try after I showed their own amenities listing. 3. Their listing says that they have a shuttle service for guests up to 5 miles from the hotel. A different desk manager said that it’s only for business meetings of at least 12-15 people and only 2 miles. I again showed the amenities list and he repeated what he had just told me. So, I got half of one of my reasons to choose this location. Unfortunately, I will not recommend nor return to this hotel again. They say you get what you pay for, but I definitely didn’t get what I paid for - overpriced."

Hyatt Place is a separate, more budget-friendly brand, and once you understand that distinction, you'll find this hotel is a decent place to stay. The property itself is new and well-maintained, which is a definite plus. Breakfast was good — a highlight worth mentioning. That said, a few things gave us pause: • Not ideal for families with young children or infants: the shower setup was not accommodating for little ones. • Thin walls and poor sound insulation: noise from inside the room can be heard outside, and vice versa. Privacy is a real concern here. • Location: this particular property sits right next to a club, which I would not like "

"Im a gold member and the desk clerk Loran was not nice at all. I know I booked through a 3rd party but that was bc it was last minute. She didnt speak, she kept coughing not covering her mouth or apologizing I asked her about the bottled water she said its for honors members. I said I was. She got an attitude and advised bc I did 3rd party I wasnt privileged to get. I advised ive done 3rd party before an was able to get it . I get it, even though I never heard that before but she didnt have to be rude and blow me off. I felt like I was an inconvenience to her when I first walked up. If you pull camera she wasn't even busy"

"Just across the street from Avalon at a fraction of the price. Very friendly staff and a fabulous breakfast."

"The place seemed to be understaffed - service was slow and quality was nothing special. We stayed for 2 nights and our room wasn’t refreshed by housekeeping so we were waiting on clean towels and toilet paper. Reservations were required at both of the upscale restaurants on property which was a bummer. "
