We loved our experience at the castle. The room was massive with a private bathroom and exploring the castle/grounds was very nice. I found the breakfast a little expensive, but the cafe on site was great. We really enjoyed the lady working the cafe, she was so kind and helpful.
We had grandchildren and stayed in a castle with an amazing view of the Reine. Rooms were large and didn’t disappoint.

Incredible room decor, super clean, beautiful views of the Rhine.
This was our second time staying at Schloss Arenfels with friends from the USA - wonderful experience both times.
This was a little piece of wonder and beauty on the Rhein. We loved living in a castle and feeling like royalty. The rooms are so spacious and the views are so lovely. We would highly recommend staying here to anyone who can make it happen.
The breakfast was fresh and amazing. Very helpful staff even though it was the off season and the hotel was not at full capacity. A phenomenal experience.
It was great. We arrived a bit confused, as there was a surprise Kraftklub concert at the venue. I expected a calm and quiet vacation with my mom after going to the local spa, but this was better! Security and staff let the very few guest at the hotel "attend" the concert from our window views. The town is definitely mostly car-friendly, and many things are closed for the winter, but the concert was awesome!
The room was amazing & the view even better! Driving up to the illuminated castle was magical, when we arrived it was dark & we didnt see a single person. It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. I loved the integration of modern convenience & styling while keeping the historical feel of the castle. No problems at all with the self check in, the key box was easy to find & the fob was easy to use. Breakfast was super tasty and plentiful with made to order eggs. Delicious cocoa was brought out for our boys while we enjoyed cappuccino, espresso and fresh orange juice. My only regret is not booking 2 nights so we could explore the area a little more and take the tour.

We arrived late evening, however a staff member was still on site, she was very pleasant and extremely helpful, made us feel “at home”. The castle has been kept very authentic and would be exactly what someone would want to experience in a castle built in 1283, absolutely amazing place. Would recommend anyone to stay. However a couple things we noticed, after dark there are little to no light sources past the main entrance, the grounds where very dark and interior stairways, making navigation of the stairs up to the guest rooms a bit freaky and difficult. Another recommendation would be to have portable fans available for use inside the guest rooms.
Our stay was wonderful. The room was always clean and warm. The breakfast was wonderful. We enjoyed it very much. The staff were very kind and ver nice. Definitely a once in a lifetime stay.
Alles Bestens. Für uns fehlte lediglich ein Kleiderschrank um Kleidung aufzuhängen ( In dem Baronzimmer gab es lediglich eine Garderobe und Schrank mit Fächern und Schubladen)
