「Spent two nights as a couple with a small dog. Totally relaxing break on the banks of the River Trent. Stayed in one of the adjacent cottages (no 14). Excellent. Only niggles were that although the bathroom had been recently refurbished, the extractor fan was not working and there was nowhere to hang a towel. Bathroom had the best shower I have ever used. Talk about a whoosh! We ate both nights in the restaurant. It had a limited menu, but the food was good. Food and drinks reasonably priced....

「My husband and I would like to recommend, in the highest terms, Sam, who seemed to be in charge of everything. She was cool, calm and extremely efficient. We were very impressed with her, from the fact that she changed our room so that we would be less disturbed by the inevitable functions that were on at the time of our stay, to remembering what we like to drink and being so cheerful and friendly at all times. 「Excellent short, one night stop here, arrived about 1800, check in was smooth and quick, staff helpful and friendly, only a short walk to the room. The room was massive clean and the bed very comfortable. It was Sunday night and there was a painter in the corridor decorating, but quiet and no bother. Room had all the expected; toiletries, towels, Wi-Fi, large tv and even a trouser press. We were up and out at 0600 the next morning to race in a local triathlon at Belvoir Castle, night porter...
