"Good location, great staff and helpful too. Though within our price range it was a lot more 'luxury' than we are usually comfortable with. Lots and lots of food choices from streetfood to restaurants. The concierge was very helpful with information on hiking Penang Hill Heritage Trail and using the Penang Hill Funicular Train retuning. Very nice hotel."

"The Millen is DEFINITELY worth considering for your stay in Penang! We booked the sea view 1-bedroom suite and were immediately BLOWN AWAY by the view when we walked into our room. The sea view from the bath tub is absolutely breathtaking. The hotel is very new, it opened in October'24, so the condition is tip top! We love the decor and style of the hotel and the privacy and security of the rooms. Your hotel key will only allow access to your floor. The gym is fantastic....fully equipped and it's opened 24hrs. The infinity pool....oh, it's gorgeous. The spa is beautiful too and I had an awesome massage and facial on my birthday. The staff were friendly and took really great care of me. Location of the hotel is excellent, too. Not far from the airport, and it's just a few minutes drive from all the attractions in Georgetown, as well as the popular malls...and also places like Bukit Bendera and Batu Feringghi. We strongly and sincerely recommend this hotel! The staff are super attentive and will never forget to greet you at the door or even when you pass the reception. If we come back to Penang, we will definitely return here!"

Not the closest to Gurney Plaza but still easily reachable by Grab or 20 minutes walk. Front lobby has music Performance Friday and Saturday evening during our stay. Hotel entrance to a small indoor mall located next door."

"I chose this hotel for its proximity to Penang Adventist Hospital (5 minutes' walk) so I was more or less prepared for the shortcomings. This property is run down and offers basic amenities. No empty mini bar, phone or bottled water in room, but the reception is staffed even at night so that's a plus. There's a water dispenser and soft drinks for sale near the reception. I had the 'Romantic' room. There was what looked like a lump of hair and chewing gum the size of a 5 cent coin, stuck to the shower floor. I couldn't remove it - it looked like it'd been stuck there for eons and it really grossed me out every time I used the bathroom! After my first request the day after check in for help to remove it (via reception), nothing was done, so I left it alone, as my stay was just 4 nights The bathroom presented all the challenges, besides the unwanted permanent floor 'decoration'. The shower area had no curtain so after a shower, the toiket, toilet roll, the whole floor plus a bit of the bedroom's side was wet wet wet. I made daily requests for changes of 2 floor mats (1 was for wiping the floor only). On the service, the staff were all friendly - Afekah (sp?) and Hashim were polite and responsive, provided accurate directions when requested. They were the plus point of this stay. "
