「Clean rooms and friendly staff. La Fortuna is about a 30 min drive. The friendly (Giovanni and Louis) make the drive worth it. We were able to spot sloth from the facility (guess we were lucky). I would definitely recommend it if you are on a budget. 」

「I can't say enough for what a great time we had at Kakao Lodge. I was skeptical at first since I usually like staying in my chain hotels that provide all the normal American comforts. But after staying here, my mind has totally changed. You can't describe how awesome it is to be able to see a half dozen different species of exotic frogs at night, or a sloth while eating breakfast, or tropic birds singing to you in the morning. 「Wow this place was amazing. The room had a balcony that opened to a rain forest and every day you walk through it with chocolate trees, bananas and the resident sloth to get your breakfast. At breakfast you are met by the nicest people that help you work on your Spanish. The only neg is it is right on a main road so big trucks go by a lot, be mindful if this would bother your sleeping. We were fine... def stay here it is incredible」
