"Our first night was ok. The AC unit didn't work very well but it stayed cool enough to sleep. The 2nd night however was not good. The AC unit stopped working all together. Went down to reception and they brought up a small air cooler but it wasn't working either and the maintenance guy said he was going to tell his boss what was going on and would be back. After 30 min he never returned. I went down and talked to security and the security guy told me that the maintenance guy had told him if I come looking for him to let him know that he had done all he could that we just needed to report it in the morning. That didn't help that night when the room was. 86°. Fahrenheit and no AC. What really set me off was the guy saying he was going to talk to his boss and would be back and then just leaving because it was time for him to leave and not even bothering to come back to tell us anything just left us sitting there. That's unacceptable."

"Tuve una experiencia terrible con el restaurante premium, soy alérgico al chile picante y en una de mis comidas me sirvieron un caldo (dicen sopa de mariscos) que venía un camarón y otra cosa, resultó ser que la otra cosa era un chile picante entero que estalló en mi boca cuando intenté comerlo sin saber que era… un grupo de meseros se reunieron a reírse y al increparlos por lo sucedido se burlaron en mi cara… de las peores experiencias que he tenido en un hotel o restaurante."

"I really needed a room change , there were three of us and the beds were not big enough, the staff were abrupt and did not really try to accommodate us so that there were three beds for us to use or even a rollaway bed, the rooms are very tiny and there is no place to sit down in the room only a couple of chairs outside, there is no refrigerator , so no ability to keep drinks cold. My recommendation is to stay someplace else and visit. I had booked it for 4 nights and no refund was given, we left the next morning "

"Great location, there are even a few sloths known to frequent the trees near the hotel and parking lot. Staff was incredibly friendly and kind. Rooms were spacious and would recommend getting one with a volcano view for the balcony. I would definitely stay here again."

"La vue est tout simplement magnifique, avec 2 chambres séparées et 2 salles de bain: idéal pour 2 couples, une famille et des amis. Possibilité de faire à manger. Terrasse incroyable avec piscine. Immersion dans la forêt avec des sons magnifiques. Un lever du soleil à couper le souffle. Ce n’est pas le plus moderne, mais amplement propre et lit vraiment très confortable"

"Room was clean and spacious, large bathroom, shuttle staff were very friendly. Had a great view from room and able to see lots of different wildlife - recommend watching sunset and night tour - was disappointed had to pay additional $20 to hike trail at the top of the hill. Breakfast buffet was ok - traditional Costa Rica breakfast options. Wish the pool bar was opened longer to have time to swim and relax after done with tourist attractions and supper"
