"This would have to be the noisiest hotel I have ever stayed in and I have stayed in some pretty noisy hotels in Vegas and New York. The noise did not come from outside, however it was all inside the property. Not sure if it was the elevator or something else but there was a loud banging noise going off every few minutes until well after 11pm. I checked out a day early due to the lack of sleep. Other than the noise, the property was nice enough."

"I would never stay here again even though the hotel was excellent. The property is beautiful and clean. The staff were friendly and the rooms are well appointed and comfortable. The speak easy is fun with good cocktails. That said, the rooftop terrace is NOT a lounge. Instead it’s a full club from Thursday-Saturday night. We stayed on the 6th floor and I could hear every song played upstairs while taking a shower to get ready for dinner through trying to go to sleep with AirPods in noise cancellation mode. When we got off the metros DuPont circle one night I could hear the rooftop from the station. This place needs to decide if it’s a higher end hotel or a club - it is certainly can’t be both."

"I’ve read other reviews so maybe this is specific to room 303 where we stayed. The bathroom was pretty disgusting. Water stains on the ceiling, toilet paper roll about to fall off the wall, the distance between the sink and wall would not be sufficient for a larger person, mold in the shower conditioner bottle and the shower had a strong sewage odor. We asked to switch rooms and was told there was not another room available. I would not recommend this hotel."

"Older hotel, but located very close to the zoo and some other attractions. Very friendly staff, and the breakfast restaurant on the main level was great each morning. "

"This is a clean and comfortable bare bones hotel. I expected a little more from the photos, however, it is in line with the price. The rooms were clean and staff were very friendly and cleaning staff made an extra effort to make the stay more pleasant. "

"Lovely property. It’s not just a boxy room but former small residences from 1926 so our had a mini kitchenette and nice bath and makeup area. They have a bar/restaurant and separate cafe. The food was good quality and the prices were ok. The bar/restaurant is a great smaller 1920s style space that’s great for relaxing. The staff was very courteous and helpful. It’s ala very convenient to George Washington university, a food hall, Whole Foods and a number of restaurants. Parking on the weekend wasn’t too bad as you could valet or park in a nearby self park garage. "
