Their website specifically states they have air conditioning in the room, but they do not at all! Booked this hotel specifically for the AC however we were stuck with windows only.
Room was nice. Big bed, espresso machine, clean bathroom.
Check in was the hardest. The hotel entrance is semi-hidden on the back side of the restaurant and there is no staff on site. I couldn’t find my lock box code so we were stuck chatting with Expedia support since we only had data plans without calling support. Plan ahead and write that lock box code everywhere!!
Great place. Parking is small, but we managed to get a spot every time. Room was good and clean. Would have loved a trash can in the room, and also a full length mirror. Staff was friendly and the restaurant was delicious. Would stay here again :)
We booked through Expedia for early July and selected the "pay upon arrival" option. Two weeks before our stay, the hotel asked us to pay in advance because there wouldn't be staff onsite at check-in. After explaining that we had budgeted to pay on arrival, they kindly honored our original reservation terms.
The location is the hotel's biggest asset. It's tucked beside a peaceful cemetery, which we thought added to its charm. The late-19th-century building has been beautifully renovated, includes an Italian bistro, and is surrounded by trees and a nearby park.
A tip for future guests: don't take the tram with luggage like we did. It's a 10–15 minute walk to the hotel. Instead, use the bus that stops right outside.
Check-in was simple using lockboxes and instructions sent by message. Be aware there is no elevator, so you'll need to carry luggage upstairs. Our king bed was comfortable, the A/C worked great, and the shower had excellent water pressure with a handheld attachment. Housekeeping refreshed the room daily. The only minor issues were a wobbly table, one bathroom light that was out, and we would have appreciated a couple more pillows.
Overall, this was a wonderful stay for my husband and me. We'd happily stay here again.
Staff was very helpful. Rooms were clean and dinner at the bistro was fabulous.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke very good English. The room was very comfortable and quiet and having an Italian restaurant in the same building was also very nice. We found the location was good with relatively short Uber rides to the attractions in the city and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Amsterdam which also had a laid back atmosphere compared to other cities in Europe.
What a lovely boutique hotel! Rob and staff were incredible—friendly, service-oriented, helpful and fun! Our rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. But the food at Nando’s was spectacular. We had dinner there 2 evenings and received the best service I’ve ever experienced. A must have is the pasta prepared in a cheese bowl…and add the truffle…it’s heaven.
We enjoyed are stay and appreciated that this hotel was outside the busy city limits. There was a bus stop right outside the hotel that was very convenient for getting into the city center. The staff person who checked us in was very helpful, helping us with our luggage up the stairs. Would recommend this hotel for anyone who wants a quiet place to rest after a hectic day in the city.
Lovely little hotel only 7 rooms but nice and well kept, once you’ve checked in you’re pretty much left to your own devices which was perfect for us! Steep stairs to get to the rooms so wouldn’t be any good for people with mobility issues, lovely food and staff in restaurant downstairs. Amsterdam centre about 15 minutes by cab or about 40 minutes by bus
Really nice rooms with friendly, helpful team. In the westerpark area of Amsterdam so dinner nearby was cheaper than central. Restaurant at the hotel was very good we ate one night but not to our personal preferences
Our stay at this very small hotel was extremely pleasant..entire staff from arrival to departure was totally professional and very warm..we felt very luvky to have stayed at hotel Boutique in Amsterdam. Thank you for a very enjoyable and pleasant paet of our trip to Europe.
