「The staircase to our room is winding, and I need to go up and down before arriving at my room. The wall is thin and is not very sound proof, so I can hear what next door's saying and TV noise. It could be disturbing to someone during time for bed. There could be some seepage at the bath tub as there was a pool of water on the toilet floor after my shower, even though there was a glass door to stop water from splashing over to the floor. The Inn is a short walk to a scenic marsh and pond with fish/eel traps and a bench for savoring the peaceful view. The town of Stockbridge, about a mile away, is wonderful for window shopping (and purchasing!) and is the start of a beautiful picturesque 'marsh walk' through grazing cows and lovely pastures. 「Room 3, an Indugence Room. I’d say it could be more indulging - larger bed, mattress topper, bathrobes - for example. Unfortunately it’s above the pub so can be noisy, especially when the staff run up and down the creaky stairs - we spent the night in our room and it was a constant irritation. But other than that, the food is excellent, lovely decor, nice atmosphere, and Stockbridge is awesome.」
