「500 year old hotel in a very pretty town. Great room with everything needed for a short stay. Housekeeping kept the room immaculate. Very friendly staff. Stayed here last year as well and will definitely stay here again.」

「Excellent stay, quiet room and good food. I suggest staying in the main building, as the annexe is far from everything, and the path between the annexe and the main building can get slippery on rainy days (and it rains a lot in England). The wine list and beer selection need improvement.」

We had team meeting there as it was a central place for us to meet and the staff were super helpful arranging somewhere quiet for us to have our meeting. The coffee and lunch throughout the day was excellent as well as my evening meal the night before. Excellent venue and I will be back in a few weeks.」

「Lovely pub in great setting with clean rooms. Lovely to sit in garden and have a drink. Did not eat an evening meal so can’t comment on food then but breakfast was lovely. Staff all very friendly and helpful. Would stay again」

「This is a uniquely beautiful hotel. The staff, rooms and restaurants are all fantastic. We only had one issue and that was the water never got hot in Bath or shower room, it was only tepid warm- but we put that down to age of the building and amount of rooms probably using facilities at the same time. It did not dampen our stay and as forgot to mention it to reception they didn’t have the ability to fix the problem. I would definitly recommend this hotel. 」
