"Good value city centre hotel. Room was clean but dated and most of the lights were not working. Shower was good and plenty of hot water. We stayed for 2 nights and were surprised that our room was not cleaned during our stay. Breakfast was good but no fresh bread only sliced for toast. Waves bar was nice with happy hour until 7 pm ever day. To Sum up we would stay here again due to value for money and location and the grand lounge was very impressive showcasing what a grand building she once was."

"Near to the beautiful Sefton Park, a short bus ride from Liverpool City Centre, this is a traditional style hotel in old buildings. Staffing is minimal but covering all that is necessary for those, like me, looking for comfortable accommodation as a base for other activities in the City and Region beyond. This includes North Wales. A more than adequate continental style breakfast is provided. Recommended."

"Check in was quick and simple. The staff were really nice and very helpful. The room was clean and the sound proofing meant we didn't here any noise from outside. Breakfast in the morning was good provided a variety of hot and cold items."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location was great, right opposite Sefton park and close to the main road and shops. The building was beautiful and steeped in history. It was tastefully decorated and tastefully lit throughout. They had a manned reception with a very helpful and polite lady on the desk. Our room was spacious and again, tastefully decorated with high quality items and a luxurious, en-suite bathroom. Despite being near a main road the room was relatively quiet and we both had a good sleep and a very relaxing stay. There was limited parking within the property grounds, but there was additional, off-road parking just outside."
