The staff were so nice and friendly, but the rooms are so outdated. My sheet had a stain on it, and the room heater didn't work well. Also, the elevators run slowly, and the only other elevator was broken for three days.

I liked the location of the property. It was easy to go where I needed to go since it was downtown. The one thmg I did not like was the $14.95 for breakfast, which meant I had to leave the property for meals.

Mold we found in room 400 was treated with bleach. The bleach smell was very strong. We asked to be moved to another room and were accommodated. Ceiling in bathroom in room 400 was peeling and had open hanging spots. I have stayed at this hotel before without these issues, so this was disappointing. Staff were accommodating.

Annual stay

We stay here every year for the Alexandria Kennel Club AKC dog show. Being connected to the River front Center means we are only steps from the show and where our dogs stay overnight.

There were many people registering for a confererence in the city and only one elevator working. Also, the hotel advertised on line, a complimentory breakfast which ws not honored. Our room was to be for handicap accessiblity but was not.Our ages are 91 and 85. We could not use a bath tub with no traction on the bottom and no hand rails. It was, however, comfortable and clean.
