「Shanty Creek was a great place to stay. The room was spacious, clean, and private. The restaurant on site had fun specials after 5 pm and there was a shuttle that took you to the bar in town. Pool area seemed well kept, and so did the grounds in general. I'd totally stay here again. 」

「This motel was nice and clean.. Check-in and check out were seamless. It is false advertising for the breakfast and the Egyptian cotton bedding lol..but I wasn't expecting much. The "breakfast" is Little Debbie snack ckes but the coffee is delicious. I would definitely stay here again.」

「The room was large with two queen beds. The beds both creaked a bunch when you moved. It seemed very clean. The breakfast was the best we had had on our whole trip, while staying at five different places. Scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles, among other items. The pool and hot tub looked amazing, but the sign reads that you can’t have any food or drinks in the pool room. That was very disappointing!! 」

「Beautiful historic home on a gorgeous lot with firepit, flowers, blackberries, a firepit, a porch swing, and creek winding through. The common areas are well appointed and kitchen well stocked. I would have been more comfortable if there had been a host or innkeeper on site being 2 females travelling alone but the other guests seemed respectful and we had a beautiful time enjoying the house and yard. 」

「Unfortunately, we ran into a situation with a sick child and had to make a last-minute change of plans. We were well aware that this was inside of the typical timeframe where adjustments to our stay could be made, but the experience we had made us feel undervalued and ignored. There was a complete failure by the host to respond to any form of communication, including multiple phone calls/messages, texts and emails. What if we had been on site, dealing with an issue in our room/unit? The total...

「My family stayed for two nights and everything was wonderful. Communication was excellent and the check-in instructions were thorough and easy to understand. The place was very clean and the bathroom was very nice. Good water pressure which seems like a small thing, but I have terrible water pressure at home so a really good shower while on vacation is a bonus! The beds were very comfortable, and despite the fact that I have sleep issues and usually wake up often, I slept surprisingly well....

「A very clean, well equipped and comfortable condo. We were in the area for a wedding and enjoyed our stay. The private balcony overlooking the lake was a nice amenity as was the hot tub which was clean and well maintained. Easy walk to a nice hiking trail, shop for necessities and bar/restaurant. A family with small kids was staying below and they appreciated the short walk to a park with a playground as well 」

「Lovely decorated motel. Room was well kept. Very close to Lake Michigan and Torch Lake. Staff was very warm and welcoming. Keep in mind there is no breakfast offered; there is coffee and snacks, although there is a cafe right across the street. 」
