We had a nutter on the roof in his undies scared our kids the guy was on home detention and was in the room next door he was confused and unstable constantly banging on our door it was a very unpleasant experience no fault of the venue or staff

The bad aspects of the room.

The shower went really hot then really cold. The AC didn't work very well. The toilet leaks really badly. The fridge froze all the food. Some of the towels had stains. The lighting in the room is very dull. The wifi is very bad.

Although I booked through wotif at the Cheifly this was changed as the Cheifly is closed and we stayed at the SAGE which is an part of that franchise and they contacted me and made the changes for me so every thing went OK

The room maintenance and management was very poor.There were several matters needing to be fixed. The cupboard door of the refrigerator was off one hinge resulting in the door not closing fully and difficulty in opening and getting to the fridge, a light was not working, no tea towel was provided, all drawers stuck and the wardrobe doors were not sliding properly. I reported the first fault listed as soon as I checked in. No one came to repair it. A shame, as all other facets of my stay were OK. Neverthelss,I would not stay there again

Good location, spacious rooms. Our room was a bit old and tired (there were patches on the wall that hadn’t been painted over) but clean overall. I booked and paid for the room but then my partner was checking in for us, I should have rung and checked if that was ok as there were some issues on check in for him. Would be happy to stay at this hotel again
