「Only bad thing was I never got told they need a cash deposit 」

「The room was cooler than I would have liked, but not too cold. The temperature/fan control did not seem to work, neither did the radiator in the room.」

「Room very cold, no staff on site overnight, no food available (breakfast or dinner) we only stayed one night instead of two. The email received prior to arriving stated that breakfast and dinner would be available, staff dismissive regarding no food situation.」

No heating on when I arrived so the place was freezing, I understand you don't want to have the heating on all day, but still... And finally the toilet seat was already broken and falling off. I do not write bad reviews a lot, but I thought I should write one so other people know what to expect... 」

「The room was clean, warm and quiet. Reception staff were friendly and helpfull. We have stayed at Fredricks for many times and will book again in the future 」

「The room and bathroom were tiny but clean. Extremely cold and I had no instructions for controlling the heat which was constantly on “standby”. Upon arrival I stood in pouring rain ringing entry bell with no response. A kind passer-by went inside the restaurant to alert them. A sign for hotel reception would have been helpful. Staff were friendly and I had great support when my suitcase padlock required cutting off! Nobody was around to assist with taking my suitcases downstairs on departure. 」

「Lovely little hotel above a very noisy (weekend) pub! Had a large room facing the street. Was told things get noisy on Friday and Saturday nights - they weren't lying, it was CRAZY. Had ear plugs and eye mask and was up all night. Couldn't open the windows for air, so many smokers outside the pub. Wish they had given us a discount on pub food considering we were there for 5 nights. The vertuo coffee machine didn't work, daily fresh baked cookies were a nice touch. It's fine, it's cute but...

「The room was cold when we arrived and the radiators were ineffective. Fortunately it was warmer when we returned from dinner. The bureaucracy associated with online check in was excessive ie submitting passport details and photo, and precise checkin time. info from three different organisations, and lists of instructions and rules for check in and out. I like to book and turn up on the day.」
