"Very impressed with the hotel. Staff were great as was the breakfast. Had a 2nd floor double room in the courtyard, which was spacious and very quiet which I liked. It was a little cool in the room but had a sufficient wall heater to help with that. Very nice modern bathroom and shower. Very grand building and the spa & pool which looked amazing and very inviting but didn’t have time to use. Family friendly and busy whilst I was there. Would recommend a stay here to my friends "

"Eventually, I had a lovely room. Initially, I was placed in a room with two single beds, even though I was travelling alone and had booked a standard double. I went down to request that my room be changed; although this was done swiftly, no form of apology was offered. This is the first hotel I’ve stayed at where the staff didn’t smile, let alone say hello or goodbye when clearly seeing me enter or leave the hotel. To top things off, I was held at the reception desk for 20 minutes, with a receptionist telling me I owed £65, even though I had already paid through Hotels.com (which, by the way, was more than £65). All in all, it’s a great property, but there was zero effort from staff to make me feel welcome."

"Everything was good apart from internet. No Wifi signals in room and phone reception was bad as well. Breakfast was great."

"I stayed in Room 14, Classic double . Very very clean and tidy, great to have a fridge too. They also have an onsite golf course and Padel courts available Bar area is really nice , with log fires on cold days Lovely surroundings 5 stars from a seasoned hotel work traveller for the last 30 years "

"For the cost the room was very basic. Staff member just showed me to the room with no info about how to get back in if the pub was closed or how to leave the next day when no-one would be around. No details given on Internet password or even asking if I had any questions, my very presence seemed to be an inconvenience. Shared areas full of rubbish, want to have a shower? Best bring your own shower gel as nothing is provided. Visit was Feb but no heating in the toilet/shower room I won't be coming back."
