「The location to town, parking and check in were easy. Helen, the duty manager, was really accommodating and responded promptly when we needed to make a room adjustment. The premium double was relatively small, more suited for single travellers or those staying a night, 2 maximum and plan on spending most of their time out and about. After having to bring our four suitcases up two flights of stairs, our room was incredibly hot. When we opened the windows to try to cool things off, we were met by several flies and other insects. 「We had a lovely short stay at Macbeth’s Hillock. The cottage was clean, cosy and comfortable, with everything we needed. We mainly stayed there overnight while travelling, but I also cooked dinner there, which worked very well. The location is peaceful, close to local sights, and right next to a farm with beautiful sheep, which made the stay feel even more charming. A very pleasant place for our short stay.」
