"I’ve stayed here previously, and I make allowances for the quirky layout, but this time my room was unacceptably bad. The windows (room at ground floor level) cannot be secured shut. The wall-mounted TV was dangerously loose and falling off. I reported these issues and was offered another room, which I declined as I had settled in to my room - but then in the morning the electric shower could only produce a cold dribble, with ‘low pressure’ warning light on. That room was not fit to rent out to customers! The restaurant food and service was good, as usual."

"I loved my stay at the Norton Grange from start to finish. Every member of staff was so friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them. My Privilege Room was lovely, spotlessly clean and with pristine bed linen and towels. I loved the little touches like the Nespresso machine, stocked minibar fridge and a really nice selection of teas and coffee with biscuits! There was also a gorgeous bathrobe and slippers. The bathroom was beautiful, again spotlessly clean and with thoughtful high-quality amenities and toiletries along with lovely huge bath towels. I ate dinner in the restaurant and my meal was delicious, freshly cooked and served very quickly, again by absolutely delightful staff. Breakfast was absolutely stunning with the most amazing selection of delicious food including the best locally produced sausages I have ever tasted. After breakfast I used the spa. It was wonderful. I used the thermal pools and the aroma steam room and I loved them. The pools were amazing, especially the one that is open to the outside where you can look out over the grass and trees and watch the squirrels playing. Everything was just lovely and the cherry on the cake was seeing a beautiful deer in the meadow next to the hotel as I went out to my car to set off home. Absolutely wonderful and I can’t wait to visit again in a few weeks. Thank you to everyone who made it such a lovely experience."

"The room & bedding were very clean. Beds are quite hard but ok for our 1 night stay. No lift available but we were only on the 2nd floor with not much luggage. Quite a distance from city centre, about a £15 uber ride, but we booked late so not much other availability in that price range. Reception staff very nice & helpful. Overall a satisfactory stay."

"Host cancelled on day of travel - offered alternative which did not work for our needs: Refused to cancel through Hotels.com claiming they would charge him 250.00. Then he made a partial offer of refund of 83.00, we had paid 120.20 on platform: He then refused to honour refund when Hotels.com contacted him: He also refused to use the Booking platform message system, which is there as record. Avoid booking anything through this company:"

"Very large room with good storage. Clean throughout. Yea and coffee available in the room. Large comfortable bed. Security fob to access room area. No noise from the bar customers heard when in the bedroom. We did eat in the bar and the food arrived piping hot with plenty of choices available. Attentive staff in the bar area."

"What a gem of a place! Beautiful original pub building. Bedroom was spacious and clean. We had a room with a double and a single bed. The double was a bit too hard for us, but the room has everything you need, so can't complain. Breakfast was really impressive and everything was cooked to perfection. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We feel like we've found a gem and will definitely use again when we've got a gig in Manchester."
