「nice environment」

「Lovely stay - fast check in, great lunch in the restaurant and an even better breakfast was had. We got a b&b deal through Expedia which included a full continental breakfast for starters and then a hot meal. I had eggs Benedict and my husband had the full English. Very nice setting and outlook. Only downside is that the room gets very hot - had to use the fan all night. And then there were some noisy occupants above us who decided to put tv on around 2am!!」

「Wonderful experience.」

「This place needs shutting down. How it has passed all health & safety measures is beyond me. Nothing like the pictures. The chairs in dinning area where thick with food, feet sticking to the floor. Got to the room & it was disgustingly dirty. Bedding didn’t fit the beds & cig holes in them. The bed frame was snapped with screws sticking out. Spoon burns in the bathroom. Chair only had 3 legs, shower was very dirty. Front door wasn’t locked & to get in the room needed a code but door would have...

「The hotel was just what we wanted for an overnight stay.our room was on the top floor, spotlessly clean, comfy bed and breakfast was lovely, set us up for the day. Thank you」

「Location perfect for our day at the races. Staff all very friendly. Food in restaurant amazing. Bed not the comfiest but I do have a bad back. Room small but love the old style decor. Gave it character. Bathroom small.」

「Very nice surprise with the location at the bottom of Roseberry Toppin , didn’t know about this until we arrived . The hotel is a treat to stay there. We were going to a friends house in Whitby and travelling from west of Scotland. Hence it was good to stop off , we visited Stokesley near bye and loved the English village life . We will stop here again and the cost was worth it.」

「First impression was NOT good. Ignored by staff when we tried to check in to our room. NO parking outside the pub. I queried about it after we made the booking via their email but got no answer. The window in the room, old fashion style, was DANGEROUS, heavy to push up and difficult to open. The window was cracked so clearly someone had dropped it when trying to open it. Had to be propped open with a a wooden structure. Needed 2 people to do it. The kitchen fans were REALLY noisy, went on...

「The lady on reception last night was lovely. Showed us round the facilities and to my room. Bedroom was clean and tidy. Was going for an operation so want able to do breakfast but I’d definitely book again and bring my girls. The hotel was a lovely old manor style house with all its features.」
