「Mainly stayed for Keswick Convention. Walkable distance from Base Camp and Main Tent at Skiddaw Street. It's quiet and near a scenic view from a river nearby. The lawn of the Hotel brings rabbits and relaxing atmosphere to guests. Friendly staff and great self-served breakfast. A good balance of price and service. Will definitely visit again.」

「Our second year visiting. Wonderful husband and wife team who cook and serve us breakfast and I imagine do all the cleaning. I do not know who owns or manages this hotel, but perhaps it is time for the owner to look at certain things in the bedroom (bathroom blind, vanity stool) to be refreshed, and some repainting. The sunroom at the front of the hotel seems to be used as a storage unit which is a great waste of a nice sitting spot. The breakfasts are excellent again due to the husband...

「The location was great - quiet and out of the way but easily access to local attractions. I did find the room a bit warm on arrival and had to immediately turn off the radiators and open the windows. Also, the bed was a bit too hard and uncomfortable for me but that’s personal taste. The wash basin in the bathroom was cracked and I could have done with a hand rail to get in and out of the bath but that was my own fault for not requesting an accessible room. 」
