Arlington 2 Stars Hotels

"The staff were very friendly. The motel is dated and there is no ELEVATOR so you have to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs to get to the upper rooms. Our the toilet in our bathroom kept running and would not flush so the staff at the front desk called a repairman in who was able to fix the problem. The motel is a short drive to DC and the Metro is a short distance away. Overall for the price is was worth the stay. Not the best but not the worst either. Parking is free"

"When I checked in, the clerk asked me if I was ok with stairs. I said yes, thinking I would only have one flight to walk up. Nope, I was on the third floor. I am elderly and I had a backpack and suitcase. The stairs were narrow and I had to go one step at a time. It took time and energy to get to the third floor. I found out the next morning that the elevators have been broken for quite some time and they don't know when they'll be fixed. I arrived there approximately 8 pm. The room was clean and roomy. It is not fancy at all and looks aged but everything worked. I did not find an ice machine and the vending machine would not take my money so I had to drink water from the faucet. There was hammering and banging going on when I arrived. At 9:30 pm I called the front desk and asked how long the construction would be going on. He initially said about another 30 minutes and then said he would talk to them. The banging stopped. The bed was soft but I didn't mind that. I was there for one night."
