「I stayed at Kaliwa Lodge for 4 nights and was impressed by the tranquil and peaceful environment. The terrace is a great place to watch the sacred Mountain Kilimanjaro at different times of the day, and be connected to the nature. I brought along my yoga mat to practise on the terrace every morning. Food is great too, they prepared wonderful vegetarian food for me on request everyday. Staff is very nice and treat every guest with their heart. I really enjoyed staying at Kaliwa Lodge. 」

「What a lovely little gem of a hotel! I stayed here for two days before and two days after my Kilimanjaro hike. The staff are a true highlight of this property and took excellent care of me.」

「I was only here briefly and at night, but it was truly gorgeous and incredibly convenient as it was located literally on the airport premises so arriving at the airport took minutes. I only have two suggestions and I think they could be easily remedied. 1. Airport transportation (which is advertised as complimentary) made it very clear a tip was expected. Either charge outright for the service or talk to drivers about not asking directly for "tips" when they're actually expecting payment....
