We had a great stay at Ameg, with very helpful staff and nice food. They had a beautiful property and were very accommodating with our later checkout time, would highly recommend for a stay in Moshi

Great lodge in a lovely location. Pool was brilliant. The resident Marabou Storks made this place really special! Also so hornbills and a lilac breasted roller
Beautiful setting by Kilimanjaro and near KCMC hospital. Lovely pool - well kept. Very nice spacious room.
Top notch staff. Super welcoming and v helpful. Esp Jenny on reception.
Hope to come again!
We wanted somewhere nearby with parking on site to visit the arusha national park and to relax before climbing kilimanjaro. this lodge was perfect for us and the standard of food and the helpfulness of the staff were particularly excellent,
VERY NICE PLACE. BUNGALOW TYPE ROOMS. VERY CLEAN. GREAT POOL AND GOOD FOOD AT THE RESTAURANT. VERY FRIENDLY FRONT DESK. PATRICIA AND QUEEN IN THE RESTAURANT WERE VERY NICE AND ATTENTIVE. AMEG IS A BIT OFF THE BEATEN PATH, BUT TUK TUK'S AND CABS ARE EASY TO GET. COULD SEE KILIMANJARO FROM THE GROUNDS. I WOULD STAY AGAIN.
We stayed at Ameg Lodge before and after hiking Kilimanjaro and enjoyed the pool, grounds, and spacious rooms. The fitness centre was great for a quick workout and stretching before and after the hike. They stored our bags and took a detailed record of any valuables we left behind while on our hike. The restaurant was quite good, although it did take some time to get a meal even when it was relatively empty. Some staff weren’t as friendly as others. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would return as it was safe and quiet.
From the moment I arrived I was instantly impressed with the property. The grounds were immaculate. The pool and gym were great but the best thing was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Always willing to help. I would highly recommend staying here.
Second stay here and have enjoyed it very much both times. The staff are all very nice and helpful. The atmosphere is cozy, quiet, and restful. Food at restaurant is very good.
The hotel is very cute & quiet. Rooms are outdated but with a few updates to the bathroom & beds they would be fantastic. The grounds/gardens are gorgeous & well maintained. Very peaceful & quiet location with good view of Mt Kilimanjaro. Food was wonderful with variety. Service was very good. The pool is small but cute & just right for relaxing.
Ameg is beautifully landscaped. My room was spacious and well-appointed. The sidewalks were being re-done, which made walking in the muddy grass challenging for me. The staff repeated met me as I walked to the dining room to ensure I was safe. The food in the dining room was really good - I especially liked the lemon pepper chicken! I will stay at Ameg in any future visits to Moshi.

Propert grounds are beautiful and peaceful. Staff is helpful and the resturant is very good comparing to other resturants in Tanzania.
Property is old. Rooms and bathrooms are very dated. There is two bars near the property and they play loud music. It feels that the music is being played next to your room. Hard a difficult time to sleep
The area is nice with kind of bungalows in a well-maintained garden area. Pool is great, Gym is old and to be used with care.
We booked the 3 days stay with breakfast, which is just very basic and each day the same, however allows a good start in the day.
Room is nicely made but lacks on repairs and maintenance. We had some issues with broken kettles, power sockets and room telephone, which we addressed to reception and management, however no one cares about it during our stay.
Staff is plenty however seems to forget how to smile and being friendly, it always feels like we would annoy them with any request. At the busy morning of checking-out no one was at the reception, we asked for assistance at the breakfast restaurant, however no one came. So we left in hurry to the airport just to send back our friend to settle the remaining payment.
Compared to our first stay, it was clearly a downfall in service and will probably trigger that we choose another property next time.
