I picked the Best Western Marina Shores Hotel because it is located along a beautiful stretch of the Pacific Coast Highway. The staff was friendly & helpful, addressing all of my questions & concerns. "A nice apartment style place overlooking the ocean at Doheny State Beach. PCH is between the place and the beach, so it’s a busy road that you have to walk about 5 minutes to get to the beach camping area. Drive a few minutes to the beach just north and enjoy the sand. Can rent surfboards there. Very clean and the staff were both friendly and accommodating. Also nice jacuzzi!"
