"Taipei experienced largest earthquakes (over 5 richter scale since 25 years ago. The hotel elevators were inactivated and resume operations after inspection, which was completed the same day. It is incredibly efficient since there were lots of elevators in Taipei that needed to be re-inspected or repaired. Without elevators, staff inspected and cleaned the hotel rooms. "This hotel is very cute and trendy. My room could use a bit of an update, but I would stay here again based on the service and the location of the hotel. All the staff were very nice and helpful and anything you could possibly need is in the area, shopping, ATMs, food, a night market plus other attractions and the metro is only a five minute walk away. There is no problem with the soundproofing between the rooms, you can't hear the noise from the other rooms, but you can hear the sound from the corridor clearly. The staff is very friendly. "The location is reasonably close to the train station, and quite close to the bus stops that can take you to most of tourist attractions. The property is old, but can't complain as the price is not bad. So overall it's not a bad option if you are looking for a reasonably clean and convenient accommodation within budget."
