「I booked two beds room but got a room with only one bed. The staff said that they didn’t get this information from Expedia. And our room’s next to the exit door, not feel very safe. The restaurant of the hotel’s good and not that expensive.」

「I was perfectly fine with the hotel until I saw what my money could have gotten me at the Waikoloa Beach Mariott. When you compare the two…hands down I would have much rather stayed in Waikoloa. Better beach and much nicer hotel. King Kamehameha had great nearby shopping and restaurants within walking distance so we didn’t lose out too bad. The property is also located a little away from the busy part of Ali’i drive, which makes it great to relax at the end of the day after a day full of activities but is conveniently located near beaches and grocery/convenient stores. I highly recommend the property to anyone planning a trip to Kona.」

「This is an extraordinary place, beautifully nestled at the top of a narrow tree-lined road, designed to blend into the landscape. It's high, and the view of the sea is grand. Well appointed, with a salt-water pool and very nice communal areas. We stayed only one night, a stopover between Kona airport and the drive to Hilo. We left thinking we would like to stay again, perhaps stay two nights. Lovely hosts. 」

I found it strange that the host came by an knocked on the door an hour after we arrived (I had to jump out the shower to answer) and then asked me 5 times to let her know when we planned on leaving via text and with a note even tho the listing said checkout is at 10 am. Was a bit overwhelming and unnecessary. 」
