「The Staff, the Luau, the location, and view from our balcony were great. It was noisier than I would have liked with kids in the pool and adults late at night. Also the rules about the daily card/towels were unclear. We were never charged but it was inconvenient to not be able to get towels before 8am and not be able to keep them over night.」

「We had the best time staying at Kona Tiki Hotel! We loved hearing the waves crash in at night and the slow-down island vibe of the hotel. 「This is an extraordinary place, beautifully nestled at the top of a narrow tree-lined road, designed to blend into the landscape. It's high, and the view of the sea is grand. Well appointed, with a salt-water pool and very nice communal areas. We stayed only one night, a stopover between Kona airport and the drive to Hilo. We left thinking we would like to stay again, perhaps stay two nights. Lovely hosts. 」

I found it strange that the host came by an knocked on the door an hour after we arrived (I had to jump out the shower to answer) and then asked me 5 times to let her know when we planned on leaving via text and with a note even tho the listing said checkout is at 10 am.
