「One night stay to experience the Periyar reserve close by. Our room was enormous and located near the very back of the property. Sadly building works are directly next to the property so we heard angle grinding. Mgr tried to stop them but only the rain did. Staff amazing. Food delicious. Great cocktails and beers. Breakfast sumptuous! Many many options to choose. Lovely hotel with nature every where. Peaceful (mostly) oasis. We did the Nature walk. Some confusion over timings etc meant we were...

「We were 17 adults. I booked 7 rooms 4 months ago . I stayed ooty sterling 2 nights ( all 17 ) Kodikkanal sterling had terrible experience. First they don’t have big vehicles access to resort. Second they accommodate 7 rooms , but they charge for 2 adults 3790 for even sleeping in the floor. For 3 days trip they charge me over $ 3000.00 . Very bad 」

「Beautiful」

「The rooms are well appointed and clean and cosy. The breakfast is nice and the lunch and dinner was tasty. The staff is friendly. The bathroom needs a wider range of toiletries especially shower gel and dental kit. Also, mineral water should be served.. The shower place should have a small shelf to keep shower gel and shampoo. Towels and face napkins should be placed without asking for them.」

「My husband and I stayed in the Windermere Estate, a fomer tea plantation. It is located in Munnar, SW India for six days. It is a beautiful, pleasant abd large estate with several buildings set among misty hills and beautifly tilled fields where tea and spices are still grown. One can go into fields and smell the tea, cardamon or other spices. Rooms are well designed to fit into the natural setting, surrounded by well-tended flowers. 「The property was quiet and bathrooms were good. Staff - Ramji, Rahine and Muthukumaran (all restaurant staff) were particularly good in service and courtesy. Bad - the food choices weren't good for vegetarians, not much of south Indian dishes for a restaurant located in deep south India. Room service was below average. Overall, too pricey for the quality of stay.」

「Lovely hotel in fantastic grounds. Great restaurant but Wi-Fi veery poor and problems with safe took 2 days to resolve. This is also a dry hotel which expedia don't make clear. 」
