「Everything about our stay at the Douglas was beyond our expectation. Friendly staff who went the extra mile to insure we were well taken care of during our time on the isle of Arran. Food was excellent. Our entire party of 9 (five rooms) all want to return again in the future. 」

「This w.as a cash only property. They do not take credit cards. It was close to the ferry, dining (Douglas House), the golf course and a short drive to Brodick Castle (a must visit). The ladies we met were pleasant and helpful.」

「Our stay in this hotel was superb! Our host Allan is a wonderful, helpful and informative host at hand to answer any questions regarding the island and surrounding areas. 「Expectations were high with a score of 9.2 but I was disappointed. Room a bit pokey, very odd matress & bedding, terrible shower. Decor throughout a bit tired. Residents bar very limited and nothing on draught. Breakfast was ok. On the plus side, staff were all very nice, location is quiet with a nice park opposite and there's enough parking. I'd stay again if in Girvan but can't say I'd look forward to it.」
