Excellent Guest House - experience made even better with the very helpful manager - Allan who goes absolutely out of his way to welcome you and make you feel at home. Allan is a greta source of knowledge re the area and things to do / places to eat etc. Great Breakfast as well - would highly recomend this as a place to stay
Our stay in this hotel was superb! Our host Allan is a wonderful, helpful and informative host at hand to answer any questions regarding the island and surrounding areas.
Breakfast is prompt, plentiful and delicious with a good menu to choose from.
The rooms are all well appointed, superbly clean and comfortable.
We will stay at this Guest House again!
Fabulous older house that comes with lots of charm and a few squeaks! Very fun to be staying in a nice house with a magnificent view over the harbor/bay. Very very quiet neighborhood, good night ahead! Easy parking on the street. But the best was the welcome by Allan, proud to be running such a great place with a solid understanding of what guests want from a stay on Arran. And he cooks a fabulous breakfast - I had the Scottish one twice, fabulous, and free-range eggs the 3rd morning, so yummy! Great coffee too! Nice multiple choices for breakfast. And a kettle in the room for coffee, tea, or chocolate! Until my next visit!
The room was clean, warm and comfortable, the host Alan was very friendly. The breakfast options were good. The house is in a central location with great views over Brodick Bay.
The house is beautiful, historic, and immaculately cared for. The front garden is a delight, and the view of Goatfell and the ocean is fantastic. Allan's a great cook and breakfasts were delicious and plentiful --- I don't think I managed to finish one, and not for lack of trying!
From Belvedere, you can walk down the hill to Fishernan's walk and take it all the way to Brodick castle and gardens, which can occupy an entire day. Walk uphill instead and find the (well hidden) start of the Coastal Walk through the forest and to the next village, Lamlash, another good day's activity.
Stop by the Brodick Visitor's Center near the ferry and ask for a map of the Coastal Walk, which extends around the entire island. And stop by Crofter's for dinner at least once while you're visiting Arran.

Ground floor room at the rear of the property. Nice views from the dining room & resident sitting room. Probably situated on a quiet road.
Very clean room. Set up with comfy chairs and a table, ready with tea service. The only quirk is the bathroom light is motion sensitive. Very conservation-conscious, but inconvenient when the light turns off while you’re still on the can.
Allan is a great host and served awesome breakfasts. The hotel is very conveniently situated in Brodick and local amenities are easily reached by foot.
Dont usually leave reviews, but feel like this one more than deserves it. Had some trouble with ferries coming over due to bad weather and had to change things around last minute, but when I contacted the property it was taken care of with no issues or hassle. When I arrived the host Allan, was very friendly and helpful made me feel really welcomed. My room was very clean, with every comfort one would need. Breakfast was lovely and again, Allen was very friendly and helpful, lots of local knowledge, recommending lots of local sights and places to eat and drink which were all great! He genuinely seemed to care about making me feel welcome and comfortable and would definitely stay here again if I get the chance to come back. Great location, very close to the ferry with an awsome view of the harbor, very reasonably priced too!
Alan the owner was very helpful and nothing was a bother to him room was spotless and views stunning will definitely be back and recommend to family and friends.
Absolutely lovely and cozy little guesthouse, the owner is so nice and accommodating. He made a delicious breakfast every morning. Absolutely would stay again
We had a room with a sea view. Comfortable beds. Street parking was hit and miss. Unfortunately the host was unwell and could not make the breakfast but we were not aware until each morning. A note said a part refund would happen. Not sure how or if this will happen.

Anniversary trip
Felt the hotel room could have been modernised a bit the shower was poor and the toilet seat kept moving about. Bed was comfortable due to covid it was a tick list for breakfasts which were left at your door so makedo dressing table for eating. Everything was very covid friendly as it should be but you loose the personel touch then. Weather was poor which didnt help as no view from bedroom though you could use front lounge. All in all was a bit disappointed with Arran in general as its a lot quieter than i thought great if your a walker but not for me. Few shops and even less pubs with meals. Drive around the island a couple if times during our stay unfortunately ferry got cancelled and had to stay another night elsewhere. All in all have been doubt if i will be back maybe much better in the sun.
stay was okay. hotel room dated and small. had to clean the door to shower room from handle upwards as it hadn't been cleaned in a very long time! wouldn't stay here again or recommend it.
