Ok for a few nights
The hotel does not look very appealing from the outside (barely recognisable as a hotel) and the lack of reception and breakfast in your room is a bit odd.
That said, my room was as per the photos, airy, clean and comfortable. The manager was helpful and the breakfast in the room was perfectly fine. It was all ok for me for a few nights on a work trip, but not what I would call a leisure hotel.
Very basic and in need of update. Fire alarm system was defective (fault showing on panel), which when coupled with no reception or staff onsite was a bit concerning, this was reported to staff by phone.
Bar staff unhelpful.
Breakfast was fruit and cereal in room.
No evening meals served as stated in booking brochure.
Room was dismal.
Bed uncomfortable.
Sky TV was intermittent.
Bathroom was not in the room, had to walk on shared landing.
Carpets dirty.
Worse place I've stayed. Not worth £80 per night.
Downstairs door left open all night unattended, didn't feel safe.
I would rather have slept in my car.
Very comfortable stay. Room was warm and clean with a wonderful view of Alisa Craig from the window. We ate dinner out but the continental breakfast in the room was plentiful (the milk was only just in date but was fine).

Disliked: Room comfort
Not as advertised
After working all day, and a 3 hour drive to the hotel, we were looking forward to a meal and few drinks in the restaurant downstairs. I had to ask while checking in where to go for food and was pointed in the direction of local take aways. The bar & restaurant on site were closed! This also meant no cooked breakfast the next morning - although it was paid for and mentioned on the confirmation.
They had kindly left plates and cutlery in the room but it was obviously too small for a table or any other place to sit so one of us was on the bed & the other on a stool at the vanity desk. Drinks were fizzy juice from a can!
The room we got was certainly not one used on the website! Clean enough but very small and one of the lights at the bedside had been pulled out the wall. The floor was uneven & not level.
Bathroom was a bit dated but adequate & there were toiletries if needed.

No light on in hotel on arrival, front door locked, rang bell no answer, phoned hotel straight to answer machine, read note hanging off the front door deliveries to side of building, side door open nobody around went through several doors shouting hello but nobody answered went through private door and got someone who got the key for room. 83 year old lady had to then walk up four flights stairs room in the attic was family room. Went into room and put kettle on as room was cold. I went to get an extra heater back to the private area as nobody was around. I found the lady before I could ask her anything a man rudely shouted what was I doing in this private area I told him I had shouted hello to get a heater but nobody answered. He told me if I needed help I should have rung a bell that I had not noticed was there. He told me he would bring an extra heater up. There was a cold continental breakfast laid out on the table for Saturday. The next morning while we were eating our continental breakfast there was a knock at the door and a lady asked if everything was ok and I said yes not realising what she actually meant was do we want the room cleaned. When we arrived back at the hotel on the Saturday the room was not cleaned and there was no breakfast in the room. At 9am the Sunday morning I went to see if we could get a breakfast she asked if everything ok we told her we were not happy with hotel travelled a lot and this hotel was not comfortable, inviting good repair
It’s the only hotel I have never stayed at and booked another. Everything about it was awful so I had to leave and book another hotel. I have never had to do that before. I have stayed and thought wouldn’t go again but never gone somewhere and left
Well the carousel wasn’t large enough for my vehicle so I was forced to park in the street. The room smelled damp and the wallpaper was hanging off the walls. My bathroom was down the hall and also smelled really bad. I was supposed to
Stay for 2 nights but I had to leave after 1 night due to the conditions.
Terrible room full of dampness with wallpaper falling off at top corner not what we booked didn’t stay had to seek other accommodation lost our money according to Hotels .com agent owner refused refund. RIP off stay away from this hotel.
Przytulny, wygodny hotelik w znakomitej lokalizacji.
Absolutely disgusting place to stay,no one there to greet you or check in with in had to look around for someone ,the smell
Of stale cigarettes as soon as you walked in ,finally got given our key ,wasn’t told the wrong room trying to unlock the door and someone shouting what you doing as your trying to get in ,finally got the correct room ,what a state ,damp on ceiling in bathroom, rug was sticky to walk on ,the room stank of stale smoke ,the bed was broken kept rolling into the middle, the breakfast was shocking a stale banana some cereal and brioche bed ,when it was as time to leave couldn’t find anyone to hand the keys to ,tried knocking on the door I thought where the owner slept had a dog barking and trying to avoid dog poo ,no one answered even tried ringing them ,never seen anyone the whole stay ,no bar or restaurant was ever open ,the place needs closing down avoid at all cost
Its very well recomended… Very convenient and the Owner, his Name is Paul and Nancy are the Best so Friendly, make you feel so welcome…weldone

Disliked: Cleanliness
Bedding was clean but stained, hall stairs and landing carpet had what looked like dog hairs on it, family room smelt of smoke and the alpen in the “continental breakfast” was out of date. 😬 kettle needed cleaning too. Just felt like it needed a little tlc
Very dated place, it needs new beds it was like sleeping in an hammock! Very saggy in the middle, pictures of this hotel are very outdated as they don't do food no bar only at the weekend
Continental breakfast has left on top of the fridge where their was a few fruit flies hanging around
What looks like an average place from the outside is lovely inside.
The rooms were great and spacious and the owner was lovely and helpful.
And it was good value.
