"Being an older building it has it's quirks which add to the charm. The hotel is across from the beach and an easy walk to shopping and restaurants. Recommend the breakfast and the staff were friendly and helpful."

"Comfortable beds. Good air con. Great views of Brighton. Slightly austere rooms. Comfy enough but a bit dreary for £160 a night on a Saturday. But the location is great if you need to catch a train early. Staff were friendly enough. I’d just add a single better chair and a bigger tv personally to make the room rates more fair "

"Stayed at Legends whilst the Great Escape festival was on. The hotel is in a perfect location, right on the sea front. Breakfast was good and the staff really friendly. Our room was very small but adequate for what we needed. The bar below was very loud on the Friday and Saturday nights until very early in the morning. If you want a decent nights sleep I’d avoid the first floor rooms at the front above the bar area."

"Really enjoyed our stay at the Amsterdam Hotel. The room was great - loved the complimentary earplugs, even though we didn't need them. Great location, just across from the pier. The staff couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful, which just enhanced our weekend in Brighton. We'll definitely be back, loved it!"

"Excellent value for money , room was large, large comfy bed with TV and sofa. Mini kitchen with kettle,sink,hob,microwave and fridge. En suite bath with shower. Towels provided.I only booked for the one night but would have happily stayed a week. Yes there was the odd hair and a bit of dust in places but on the whole it was clean. Its a bit dated but wouldn't expect anything less being an old building. I'd definitely be booking again."

"This is a really good value option for anyone visiting Brighton. The rooms are compact but the bed was very comfortable. The owner is friendly and sorts things out very quickly when you check in. It is also in easy walking distance of the Concorde 2 music venue. So handy if you are seeing a gig there."

"The room was fine and we were impressed that we got service on day two without requesting it. We were not really prepared to have no staff on site. It would have been good to be able to leave bags on the last day as our train to Gatwick was late in the day."

"The staff here are exceptional and really do everything they can to make you feel welcome and to help you. Really lovely rooms, very clean and quality throughout. The bedding and beds, the towels, the Cowshed toiletries, everything is beautiful. In a lovely quiet area but within easy reach of the mad party atmosphere if that's what you want. Walkable distance to Brighton, I did it myself, but also buses around to take you. Plenty of restaurants up the road. A great place to stay. Extras in the...
