Shodo Island Ski Vacations

Very simple hotel with great staff. Great food and great practical location for train travel.

Staff accueillant, bilingue. Déjeuner excellent. Très bien conseillé pour notre excursion sur les îles Naoshima et Teshima.

朝食の味も良かったが、伝統工芸品と思しき物凄く立派な器で出てきて感動した。飯碗と汁椀を買って帰りたかった。

The hotel room and amenities were super clean and the view from my room and the garden were spectacular. The only negative is that you have to take a taxi in and out of the hotel which is quite expensive.

Elevators were slow and hotel has a confusing floor plan

Hotel incorporated into a velodrome away from the port but easy walk to catch the ferry to the islands. Lunch and dinner menu's offered are not up to Japanese standard so you need to eat at Uno port unless you want fried food. Breakfast okay but no fresh fruit. A word of warning even if you just want a drink at the restaurant after your day you need to book at reception on your return to the hotel. Also need to book shuttle if you want transfer to Uno station on any day. Bike hire available for taking on the ferry for Island tours. Rooms small so travel light as no room for larger suitcases.
