Like most places in Vietnam, maintenance is a bit of an issue. However, breakfast was great and staff were truly helpful and friendly. Rooms were comfortable and clean.
Hotel was very close to shops, restaurants, Train Street and the lake.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Du Lac in Hanoi. Thomas, the hotel manager, was pleasant and accommodating and went out of his way to find us a tour guide. The staff were all friendly and can speak conversational English, which is a bonus. The hotel is located in the Old French Quarter which is near to the night market and some tourist attractions such as the famous train street and St. Joseph’s Cathedral. I highly recommend staying in this hotel if you want to make the most of your stay in Hanoi.

Excellent location in the Old Quarter. Very close to shopping and many eating establishments. Very pleasant and supportive staff, especially Abby, Chloe, Luna, and Roy. Will stay at this location again!
