My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our 10-day, 9-night stay at Eton. From the moment we arrived, we felt comfortable and well taken care of. Our room was very comfortable, and both the Wi-Fi and air conditioning worked exceptionally well throughout our stay. The staff and the night time manager were consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made our experience even more pleasant. Breakfast offered a good variety of choices, and the food was tasty and satisfying. We also appreciated how clean and well maintained the hotel was. Even the hallways and hotel floors had a fresh, pleasant scent, which added to the overall feeling of cleanliness and comfort. The location was another big advantage. The hotel is very close to Pudong Avenue Station, making it convenient to get around Shanghai by public transportation. Overall, we had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Eton and were very happy with our experience. We would gladly stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and conveniently located hotel in Shanghai.

Service was exceptional from all staff. Basic English communication was good, location is excellent and literally steps away from Waitan tourist areas. Lots of crowds always outside the front doors because of the history of the building. Guests can take a free guided tour (Mandarin and English) of the building and learn about the history. Nightly live jazz music and entertainment which was great (minimum spend rules may apply).

I’ve never stayed at a hotel before that went from a sense of grandeur to an utter disappointment quite so quickly as the Swissotel Grand. And that’s all down to a wretched piece of room design that leaves a large gap between bathroom and toilet and the bedroom. Not a one off, I saw THREE rooms, all had the same issue. You can see, hear and smell someone doing their business and that’s just not a thing we are used to. The Grand Hyatt has TWO doors for privacy, here you’re part of the show with your partner. No. Not the kind of experience expected of a 4 or 5 star hotel. So we left the next day. Fair enough the hotel didn’t make a fuss. But seriously, fix your rooms!! Eugh!!!!
