The room and location of this hotel were amazing. We had awesome breakfast in the fifth floor Wood Pike for the Regent club. The room is huge with Greater vanities, but most of all I love the pool sauna, and everything about this hotel.

Clean rooms, but the staff did not speak English - unusual for a 5-star international hotel. Had to use a google translator. Breakfast was so-so. Large, imposing building suitable for events, but not for family vacations.

We had a really enjoyable three night stay at the Grand Mercure. Everything was more than we could have wished for. We were given a room upgrade on arrival. The staff were all really friendly and spoke a decent level of English. And the breakfast was really good. We would happily stay here again if we return to Xi’an.

"Hotel itself was very nice, though the location was PERFECT! Tons of shopping options nearby and walkable to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City and metro stations to everywhere. I highly recommend this hotel and don’t forget to get the breakfast buffet option!"
