The room was very spacious. However, the bed was extremely uncomfortable.

Everything about this hotel was wonderful. We stayed in a classy king room. It was spacious with the best shower I’ve experienced in a hotel. The location is perfect. It’s near the main shopping area but also has Pontocho alley right in front of the hotel where you can experience the traditional Japanese restaurants in the older part of town. It’s easy to get around with buses and subways nearby. Kyōto station is about a 10 minute bus ride away or a taxi ride (approximately 2000 yen). The breakfast was lovely too and the staff were friendly and polite. They have a small gym with two treadmills, a cross trainer and two bikes but no weights. Mats are provided. It’s basic but clean and functional. Highly recommend. I would stay there again.

Large hotel room. Clean. Lots of room. Great shower. You can hear people walking around in the room above. The floor was paper thin and you could hear every step. Had to re-wash clothing after using the washing machine. It left everything very musty smelling, could use a cleaning cycle. The location was 15-20 minutes walk to train station, shopping, tourist stuff.

I’ve stayed here before and that’s why I returned, definelty a must stay in Kyoto. The views and breakfast are excellent!

The room was relatively clean upon entry. I did not choose to have my room cleaned during my few days stay. Showers are available 24 /7. Complimentary hot water and cold drinking water in a small but workable kitchen..pots, a few bowls, common area fridge and small room fridge. Laundry on site. Spa with a few hours of access each day. Located right next to a train station. Only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because the dryer didn't dry all my clothes after 80 minutes and i asked for a complimentary coin to finish the drying of 1 pants, and a few smaller items. The non-regular manager was there and refused.

Wow; what a luxury to be able to stay here. It was perfect.

Extremely kind and helpful staff and a prompt shuttle ride to Kansai!
